The reason I say this is because I am still learning- every day. I do not have all of the answers. I have experience. My experiences may or may not be like yours. I do not believe that anyone has the magic recipe to ensure that your health business will be successful and certainly cannot guarantee that it will be without challenges. I worry if you are reading posts that lead you to believe that if you follow a certain pathway, or adopt certain processes that things will be without times of challenge. Nothing in life is like that- for anyone.
By all means, read and listen to others and be open and curious to learning but much like anything if it all sounds too good to be true; it probably is.
There is no one size fits all. No magic answers. There are, however, huge opportunities to learn and grow and to do it your way.
There is one thing that all of us have in common- we are human. We are emotional creatures. Being the owner of a health business will elicit many emotions from elation, anticipation, excitement to times of fear, uncertainty and maybe even despair. There will be many highs and lows.
Emotions drive behaviour. Understanding how we feel and how we respond to these feelings is the key to leadership. Health business owners become leaders by default. We have choices, make decisions and have considerable influence on others. Our behaviour will certainly have an impact on the ultimate success and fulfilment of your professional and personal life.
